In 1986, our firm was founded by husband and wife, Steve and Joanne Dicker, as Dicker and Dicker. In 2019, Sandra Ruiz became a partner and the firm name was changed to Dicker Dicker & Ruiz. Our firm focuses on personal injury cases and residential real estate transactions. We represent individuals and their families in personal injury and wrongful death cases resulting from motor vehicle accidents, slip, and fall accidents, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, animal attacks, and physical and sexual abuse. Our work also includes residential real estate transactions on behalf of the seller or buyer. Our attorneys are well-experienced negotiators and litigators. They have successfully negotiated settlements for thousands of clients and have taken a number of cases to trial resulting in verdicts in favor of our clients. In a newsworthy case against The Archdiocese of Chicago, our firm secured a settlement in the amount of $1.65 million on behalf of a minor who was sexually abused by a priest. Although located in downtown Chicago, our attorneys also practice in the surrounding suburbs and in cities throughout the State of Illinois.
